LA SABLONNERIE

La Sablonnerie is a venue of rare quality with an enviable reputation for its superb food and wines; fresh cream, meat, local butter, fruit and vegetables mainly sourced from the hotel’s own farm and gardens.

Naturally, being so close to the sea, the restaurant’s popular specialities include freshly caught fish and famous Sark lobsters, and is well known throughout the Channel Islands – indeed it’s considered by some to be the finest eatery on Sark Island, though only the customers can confirm that!

The menu is far too diverse and extensive to feature all the dishes, but a few that bear witness to the establishment’s fantastic reputation include the roasted sea scallops with garlic butter, the lobster thermidor and the caramelised breast of duckling with green peppercorn sauce.

If that hasn’t already tempted you, La Sablonnerie is also known for its home-grown beef fillets, spring lamb and veal, and even for the chef’s delicious vegetarian dishes and exotic fruit desserts.

Adjacent to the elegant restaurant lies the garden, a popular feature of our restaurant which promotes al fresco dining during the Island’s warm summer months. Finally, the venue’s bar is a delightfully comfortable extra lounge with a roaring log fire which has always been a convivial meeting place for visitors.
